Strategy Explanation

This TH18 anti everything base uses a stretched, split-compartment style rather than a tight box core. The most noticeable feature is the wide open lane through the middle, which works like a deadzone for pathing and trap value. Attackers do not get a simple straight push through the base because the main defensive blocks sit on both sides of that lane, forcing troops to choose awkward targets and often drift around the layout instead of cutting cleanly into the core.

The stronger defensive value is spread across multiple sections, with heavy compartments on the left side and another protected defensive block toward the lower-right. That makes the base less dependent on one single compartment surviving. If an attacker opens one side, they still have to deal with another separated pocket of damage and a lot of walking time across the base.

Strengths

  • Awkward troop pathing: the central empty strip makes spam attacks less predictable and can pull troops away from the highest-value defenses.
  • Good anti-everything spacing: defenses are not packed into one easy spell zone, so attackers have to commit spells carefully.
  • Strong split-base feel: the left and lower-right defensive groups make it harder to snowball through the full layout in one push.
  • Useful trap potential: the open middle and narrow wall entries are good places for bombs, seeking air mines, tornado-style disruption, and spring traps.
  • Messy funneling: outside buildings and defensive anchors on the edges can delay heroes and make entry timing less clean.

Central Deadzone and Trap Value

The open center is the main identity of this TH18 base. It is not wasted space; it is there to interrupt targeting. Ground troops can hesitate, split, or walk around walls instead of staying in one clean pack. Air troops can also be pulled across wider distances, which gives point defenses more time to shoot. This is where the copy layout option is useful, because the wall shape and spacing are the parts you want to preserve exactly.

Split Defensive Compartments

The layout does a good job of avoiding the common mistake of stacking everything in one core. The left-side block carries a lot of early pressure, while the lower-right section forces attackers to keep enough spells and hero ability for the back end. That is especially helpful against broad spam attacks, where the first half of the army often looks strong but loses control once it has to cross into the second defensive pocket.

Funneling Pressure on Heroes

Hero charges should not feel completely comfortable here. The outside buildings create several tempting entry angles, but the compartments behind them are angled in a way that can pull the Queen or Warden walk sideways. If the attacker does not create a strong funnel, heroes can spend too much time on the edge while the main army moves into a different section.

Best Use for This Layout

This is a solid TH18 base layout for players who want one defensive setup that can handle mixed attacks rather than targeting only one army. It fits regular defense, trophy pushing, and general anti-everything use. For wars or CWL, test it against your clanmates first and adjust traps based on what you see most often, especially blimp paths, root-style ground pushes, and heavy air spam.
