Strategy Explanation

This TH18 war layout uses an off‑center Town Hall boxed inside a moat‑style ring. The surrounding base is a rotated diamond grid with many small compartments and open tiles that bend pathing. The Eagle Artillery sits on the opposite side from the Town Hall, so heroes and spells get split if attackers try for a safe 2 star. Core threats (Monolith and Spell Towers) cover the Town Hall approach, while time‑wasting trash buildings on the outer rim slow cleanups.

Strengths

  • Anti 2 Star core: The Town Hall sits in its own box behind a ring, so ground pushes often circle instead of stepping in. A Tornado near the ring is ideal to hold Blimps or late‑phase Lalo.
  • Anti 3 Star pathing: Diamond compartments and dead zones make funneling awkward; attacks frequently split into two weak groups.
  • Queen Charge resistance: Long wall lines give poor value for early Wall Breakers and Recall; charges pull into side compartments rather than the core.
  • Air spread: Air Defenses and Sweepers are spread on different diagonals, cutting chain value for Electro Dragons and slowing Lalo rotations.
  • Split anchors: Eagle and Scattershots are spaced from the Town Hall sector, forcing attackers to spend two separate phases or a risky all‑in.

Town Hall Box and Trap Core

The inner TH box is separated by open tiles to create pathing confusion. Place Tornado inside the ring and stack a Seeking Air Mine on the most likely Blimp path. Two Giant Bombs near the entry to the TH box punish Bowlers/Root Riders after a jump.

Anti‑Funneling Diamonds

The diagonal walls form small diamond rooms with narrow connectors. Spring Traps between these connectors kick out Hogs and Valks. Storages sit on the outer diamonds to absorb hero shots and stall Queen Walks; they also protect key defenses by soaking spell value.

Eagle Opposite TH

With the Eagle on the far side, safe‑2 plans often fail: if attackers go early Town Hall, the Eagle stays up for too long; if they open on Eagle, the Town Hall box still has full support and traps. This creates uncomfortable spell timing and splits heroes from the main push.

Recommended War CC and Tweaks

  • War CC: Ice Golem + 2 Super Minions + Archers (or Triple Ice vs smash). It forces early Poison and stalls the dive.
  • Inferno modes: Run at least one Single covering the core; keep a Multi toward the wide side for swarm control.
  • Rotation tips: Swap a Scatter and X‑Bow between wars to break attacker scouting; adjust Sweeper angles if you see repeated Blimp attempts.

How to Use the Copy Link

Copy the layout, then mirror the trap suggestions above. After each defense, check your war replay heatmap: nudge traps one or two tiles along the ring to keep enemies guessing while preserving the same overall pathing the design relies on.
