Strategy Explanation

This TH18 layout is nasty against Dragons because it does not give them a clean lane into the important compartments. The Town Hall sits in its own side chamber, the core is broken up, and the pathing through the middle is awkward enough that air armies often lose shape before they get real value.

What makes this one dangerous is how uneven the pressure feels during the raid. Attackers can grab some outside percentage, but once they commit deeper, they run into layered defenses, bad chain spacing for Electro Dragons, and compartments that pull troops away from the ideal route. That is why it works in war and still makes sense in Legend League.

Strengths

  • Excellent anti-Dragon flow β€” the base does not hand out a straight flight path, so Dragons tend to drift, split, or waste time on side structures.
  • Very awkward Town Hall access β€” the Town Hall is tucked into a protected side box, which makes safe blimp timing harder than it looks.
  • Good anti-Electro Dragon spacing β€” the core compartments are separated well enough to cut down chain value where E-Drags usually want to snowball.
  • Strong anti-3-star shape β€” even if the attacker secures the Town Hall, the rest of the base still asks for a lot of cleanup through broken compartments.
  • Hybrid pressure is real β€” Miners and Hogs can lose rhythm in the center because the base does not give them one smooth circular route.
  • Works well for Legend League β€” it is annoying against spam, but it also forces better players to actually plan their entry and spell usage.

Defense Strategy

The big idea here is forcing the attacker to choose between the Town Hall and the clean path through the core. If they aim straight for the Town Hall compartment, they usually lose tempo and end up entering the middle from a bad angle. If they ignore it early, they risk running out of troops or spells before they can safely finish the job.

Against Dragons and Electro Dragons, the spacing matters a lot. You do not have those long easy chain lines that air spam loves. The compartments in the center also make troops hesitate and redirect, which gives Sweepers, Infernos, and high-damage point defenses more time to work.

Best Use Case

This base is best for war and Legend League, especially if you see a lot of Dragons, Electro Dragons, Hydra, or safe 2-star blimp attacks. It is not built for farming. It is built to make strong attackers uncomfortable and punish lazy entry choices.

Pro Tips

  • Set traps on the natural blimp lanes β€” do not just stack them near the Town Hall. Catch the blimp before it gets there.
  • Protect the side that opens the Town Hall compartment β€” that is the area smart attackers will test first with heroes or a charge.
  • Do not tighten the building gaps β€” small edits can suddenly give Electro Dragons much better chain value.
  • Rotate trap positions in CWL β€” this layout gets even better when repeat attackers cannot guess the air mine pattern.

Who Should Use It

This one fits players who want a serious defensive base instead of a flashy one. If your clan wars are full of Dragon spam, E-Drag hits, and safe two-star plans, this layout gives you a real chance to force low percentages, time fails, or messy finishes rather than clean triples.
