Killer TH18 Defense Coc Layout | Hybrid Crown Dynasty

Strategy Explanation
This TH18 war/hybrid layout uses a compact diamond core with layered box compartments to force awkward pathing. The Town Hall sits in the middle ring, guarded by the Monolith and flanked by Spell Towers, with X-Bows stacked for crossfire. Scattershots are placed on opposite quadrants (northeast and southwest), while the Eagle Artillery is tucked on the left side behind multiple wall layers. Air Defenses are evenly spaced around the ring, and both Sweepers are angled to push blimps off-line and make Lalo timings messy.
Heroes are staggered: each altar guards a different approach so you can’t pick off two heroes with one charge. Storages are used as HP shields along the outer ring to stall hybrid and ground smash, and the inner channels steer troops away from the Town Hall so early stars are not guaranteed. Openings between compartments are minimal; most entries demand either multiple wall breaks or a Jump, which burns attacker spell capacity.
The base shines in Legends and war because it punishes sloppy funnels. Queen Charges often get dragged sideways by defensive rings, while a late push into the core meets the Monolith, Spell Tower effects, and overlapping Scattershot splash.
Strengths
- Anti-2-star diamond core: Town Hall coverage overlaps Monolith, X-Bows, and Spell Tower effects.
- Opposite-corner Scattershots create constant splash pressure on both air and ground.
- Air defense network plus Sweeper angles disrupt blimps and delay Lalo/Dragon riders.
- Eagle Artillery is deep and hard to snipe with a short Warden walk.
- Staggered hero altars deny easy value charges and slow down Miner/Hog paths.
- High-HP storages along the outer ring stall Queen, Bowlers, and Root Rider pushes.
Recommended Clan Castle
- Lava Hound + Ice Golem + Archers: maximal time waste versus air and ground.
- Double Ice Golem + Headhunters: punishes hero dives and late-stage Royal Champion.
Trap Notes and Tweaks
- Place Tornado directly off the Town Hall tile toward the heaviest Spell Tower coverage to catch blimps.
- Use a Tesla mini-farm on the east edge where the 2x2 pockets are visible to break pathing and pop early Siege Barracks.
- Stack Giant Bombs in the southern channel for hybrid; sprinkle Spring Traps along the outer ring corners.
- Air Mines split: Blacks near the Town Hall flight path, Reds over Scattershots to shred Loons.
Legend League Tips
- Rotate Sweeper directions every few hours to disrupt common blimp lines.
- Swap a Wizard Tower with a Bomb Tower if you’re seeing a lot of Miner/Hog spam that skirts splash.
