Strategy Explanation

This TH18 coc base layout is built around making the second star harder than usual in Legend League. The Town Hall is not sitting on the edge for an easy blimp or hero grab; it is protected behind several layers of buildings, walls, traps, and heavy defenses. The overall shape uses a wide diamond-style spread, which forces attackers to spend time choosing a side instead of getting a straight line into the main value.

The main idea is simple: make the attacker commit early, then punish weak pathing. If they send heroes from one flank, the other side still has enough defenses and trash buildings to pull troops away. If they use a blimp, they need to get through air traps, sweepers, and nearby high damage before landing safely. This is the kind of base that works well when you are more worried about avoiding clean two stars than saving every storage.

Strengths

  • Good anti 2 star value: Town Hall access is awkward and requires planning instead of a casual hero dive.
  • Strong spread for Legend hits: Key defenses are not all packed into one easy spell zone, so spam attacks can lose tempo.
  • Useful against air openings: Sweepers, air defenses, and traps around the main path make straight blimp or dragon pushes less comfortable.
  • Wide outside ring: Attackers can get percentage, but clean funneling takes time and troop investment.

Town Hall Access and Anti 2 Star Plan

The Town Hall area is protected by more than just walls. The nearby defenses create a dangerous zone where troops tend to split or stall. This matters a lot in Legend League because many attacks rely on sending a tanky push toward the Town Hall while heroes or support troops clear the sides. Here, that push has to move through angled paths, defensive pressure, and trap risk before reaching the key target.

A casual Battle Blimp is also less safe than it looks. The base gives the attacker multiple possible lanes, but not many clean ones. If the blimp comes in too early, it can land short or get forced into an awkward drop. If it comes late, the main army may already be taking too much damage.

Air Defense and Blimp Pressure

The air coverage is spread well enough to make Electro Dragons, Dragons, and Root Rider-air mixtures think twice about entry side. Air Defenses, Scattershot-style pressure, and support buildings are placed so the attacker cannot remove everything with one Freeze or Rage. That does not make the base immune to air spam, but it does make poor spell timing very expensive.

The sweepers are especially important here. They help delay direct air movement toward the Town Hall side and can interrupt a clean blimp line. In Legend League, that delay often decides whether the attacker secures the Town Hall or ends up stuck on high hitpoint buildings while defenses keep firing.

Hero Pathing and Funnel Control

This layout does a good job of making hero entries uncomfortable. The outside buildings are spread in a way that can pull the Barbarian King or Archer Queen sideways if the attacker does not trim the funnel properly. That is exactly what you want from an anti 2 star base: make the attacker spend extra troops just to keep heroes on task.

The defending heroes also add pressure around the important sections rather than sitting in useless corners. When attacking troops step into the inner lanes, they are likely to face hero damage along with heavy defenses, which can force early ability use.

Legend League Use and Copy Layout Option

This is a practical choice for TH18 players who are seeing a lot of spam attacks, blimp attempts, and safe two-star plans in Legend League. It is not trying to protect every outside building; it is trying to make the Town Hall take real commitment. That makes it better for daily defense logs where stopping the clean two star is often more valuable than saving a few percent.

If you want to test it, use the copy layout option and run it for a full Legend day before judging. Watch replays closely: if most attackers are reaching the Town Hall too easily from one side, adjust traps and skeleton placement around that lane while keeping the same main structure.
