Strategy Explanation

This TH18 layout is built around making the attacker work for the Town Hall while still keeping enough defensive value spread across the rest of the base. The Town Hall sits slightly off-center inside layered compartments, so it is not a free blimp target from every angle, but it also is not isolated enough to be taken cheaply without commitment. The core is broken into several small boxes with high-value defenses covering each other, which is useful in Legend League where you face a mix of Root Rider smash, air spam, Queen Charge, and hero dives.

The outer ring is intentionally uneven. Some sections have heavier trash and defensive clutter, while other edges look more open but lead into awkward walling. That makes funnel planning less comfortable, especially for players trying to force a straight line into the Town Hall. This is a practical anti 2 star and anti-everything style base: it does not rely on one trick, it relies on delayed access, crossfire, and forcing spells before the attacker reaches the best value.

Strengths

  • Off-center Town Hall pressure: attackers still need a real plan to secure the Town Hall, especially if they enter from the wrong side.
  • Layered core compartments: troops are likely to split or stall instead of rolling through one clean channel.
  • Good defensive spread: major defenses are not all packed into one obvious blimp or spell value zone.
  • Awkward funneling: the uneven outside buildings can pull heroes and spam troops away from the intended path.
  • Legend League friendly: the layout gives decent coverage against both ground and air without being too specialized.

Off-Center Town Hall Pressure

The Town Hall placement is one of the main reasons this base fits the anti 2 star label. It is close enough to the core that attackers cannot ignore the surrounding damage, but offset enough that a straight middle push is not always the cleanest answer. If they send a Battle Blimp, they still need to deal with traps, pathing, and defensive fire around the landing zone. If they commit heroes, they often spend too much time breaking through compartments before the main army gets proper value.

Compartment Pathing and Core Control

The wall structure is not a simple square or ring. The base uses many small compartments to interrupt troop movement and make jump, rage, and freeze timing more important. This matters a lot against spam attacks. Root Riders and other tanky troops can break through walls, but the base tries to pull support troops sideways and separate damage dealers from the front line. When that happens, the attacker may still get the Town Hall but lose too much army to finish the triple.

Air and Blimp Defense Notes

The air coverage is spread across the base instead of stacked in one corner. That helps against Electro Dragon chains and air spam because the attacker cannot remove all the key air defenses with one early strike. The central boxes also make blimp pathing less automatic. A safe blimp line may exist depending on the attacker’s start, but it usually requires proper tanking and spell investment, which is exactly what you want from a Legend League defense.

Best Use and Copy Layout Tips

This layout is best used as a TH18 Legend League defense or as a daily defensive base when you want something balanced against mixed armies. It is especially useful if your current base keeps giving up easy Town Hall snipes or clean central pathing. After using the copy layout option, check your trap placement and defensive modes before going live. Small changes like swapping a few traps near the Town Hall approach or adjusting skeleton traps for ground can help tailor it to the attacks you see most often.
